What age group are these workshops for?

These workshops are for young writers aged 13 to 18, or grades 8 to 12. In the future, we plan to split up the workshops between ages 13 to 15 and 16 to 18.

Do I have to come to every workshop?

Each workshop is its own separate event! This means any workshop can be attended individually. Despite this, students are welcome to come to as many workshops as they would like, in fact, they are encouraged to.

What do I need to bring to the workshop?

Young writers are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own work to the workshop. Work can include, poetry, a piece of a short story or novel, or any other piece of writing less than 4 minutes.

Who will be supervising these workshops?

The workshops will be supervised by Alisa Perkins. Perkins has a BA in writing from the University of Tennesse at Chattanooga and has taught English for over 5 years at Classen SAS. She is now the Special Education Teacher at Classen SAS.
